ANCUK Logo_thumbThe African Nations Cup UK is an annual community tournament that brings together football teams and supporters from African communities in the UK. The football tournament was started with the aim of using football as a symbol of unity amongst African communities living in the United Kingdom. It promotes sports and also supports programs that enhance health, education and young people’s talents. The tournament this year runs from 1st to 15th June with the final being played at West Ham’s Upton Park, the Boleyn Ground.

IF logo greenDiaspora for African Development (DfAD) and the Enough Food for Everyone IF Campaign are proud to announce that they are sponsoring  Zed United Football Club in this year’s African Nations Cup UK 2013.  The sponsorship of Zed United is intended to enhance the mass mobilisation efforts of the Diaspora Working Group of the IF Campaign to drive the African Diaspora to add their voice to the campaign by attending the BIG IF London G8 Event in Hyde Park on 8th June 2013.

This coming Saturday 1st June 2013 Zed United will play Zimbabwe at 11am in pitch number 6 at The Memorial Park Grounds, Memorial Avenue, West Ham E15 3DB. The second game will be at 3:45pm in pitch number 4 against Sierra Leone.
