DfAD VOLUNTEERS

DfAD is a learning organisation that aims to continually grow and develop, and take on new challenges. To achieve this aim and sustainability, we need to increase our capacities and expertise to match this growth. However, we can’t do this on our own; we need your support to make it happen!

At DfAD, we get very excited about Volunteers and understand that people choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For example:

• a chance to give something back to the community
• a chance to make a difference in people’s lives
• an opportunity to develop new skills
• an opportunity to build on existing experience and knowledge

Whatever your motivation, volunteering can be both challenging and rewarding.

Volunteer Opportunities

Most of our growth and success is attributed to the significant contribution that has been made, and continues to be made, by Volunteers. We are always seeking to engage with Volunteers who are professional, enthusiastic, and most important of all, reliable!

Volunteering with DfAD is open to all who wish to assist in achieving our aim of contributing to Africa’s sustainable social and economic development through harnessing the potential of African Diaspora for development. Volunteers have to be willing to adhere to our Core Values as well.

Expert Volunteering

We are very interested to hear from people with expertise in different fields who are looking for an opportunity to contribute their time, expertise and resources. DfAD’s current priorities are Agriculture and Food Security in Africa and Health, both in the UK and Africa.

If all this sounds like you, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information on becoming a DfAD Volunteer.
