Channel 5 Fashion Presenter, Julian Bennett; British Film & Television Actor and Star of “Waking the Dead”, Wil Johnson; British Invasion’s America’s Next Top Model, Annaliese Dayse; and other Diaspora celebrities will feature in the FASHION AGAINST HUNGER Catwalk Show aimed at raising awareness of world hunger.
The fashion and music event, which forms part of the efforts of the ENOUGH FOOD FOR EVERYONE IF Campaign, will take place at the Tabernacle, 35 Powis Square, Notting Hill, London W11 2AY on Saturday, 1 June 2013, from 7.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.
“The FASHION AGAINST HUNGER Catwalk Show is a creative and innovative way to raise awareness of world hunger. We utilize creative mediums such as fashion and music that grab and hold the attention of today’s young generation and society at large in order to get the message cross”, Says Justina Mutale, CEO and Founder of POSITIVE RUNWAY: Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread, the organizers of the event.
This groundbreaking event will showcase work from leading ethical designers committed to tackling hunger and malnutrition. Designers will include members of the IF Campaign’s Social Enterprise Working (SEW) Group such as Pants to Poverty, Choolips and Peopletree.
London’s top Diaspora designers, including ITV2 Celebrity Designer, Anooshi Naghibi will showcase their designs, while Paul O’ Donoghue & Martin Andell of Exquisite Costume Creation will open and close the show with a Carnival touch.
This exclusive and unique Catwalk Show is organised by POSITIVE RUNWAY in association with Spotlight Fashion Models as part of the ENOUGH FOOD FOR EVERYONE IF Campaign to raise awareness of world hunger.
The exquisite event is produced by POSITIVE RUNWAY’s Creative Director, Julius Reuben, who is a top Diaspora male model, stylist and fashion choreographer.
The Show will feature Channel 5’s Julian Bennett; America’s Next Top Model (British Invasion), Annaliese Dayes; and British Actor, Wil Johnson among many other Diaspora celebrities.
The IF Campaign is a coalition of over 100 UK development organisations and charities who are campaigning and lobbying the UK’s Presidency of the G8 Summit for policy change to address world hunger. The four policy asks of the IF Campaign are around Land, Tax, Transparency and Aid.
